Wake up India!!!!!!!! Its Republic Day!!!!!
The largest democracy of the world turns 62 today as a republic. I m not writing this to count our achievements as a republic. I wanted to write something special so that people can realize the true value of being an Indian.
Everyday we see it on news channels, read it in newspapers about how our democracy is going to the dogs every passing day. “But why should we bother?? if the government is useless, we cant help it!!!.” This is our attitude towards such issues. I was really embarrassed by one message that I received from my friend saying that now beer is cheaper then onions. This goes to show that our country is in such poor hands. I am not saying that the opposition is good either. They are equally useless. Instead of helping the government to curb the atrocities committed on the common man, they want to gain political mileage by demanding the resignations of some or the other ministers every day and by wanting to hoist our national flag in a sensitive area like Kashmir. Why??? Doesn’t Kashmir have its own chief minister to do that??? In short our entire political system is rusted.
But in some ways, we are also responsible for the events that have been taking place in our motherland. We have elected these leaders of ours, haven’t we??? For the past six decades we are being fooled with false promises yet we vote for such goons thinking that God will install a software of sense in their system someday or the other. Sadly, their system doesn’t accept such softwares. Their system runs only on two softwares: Power, Money and more Money!!!!!!!
The water has now boiled over the heads. Yet the people are quiet, for reasons best known to them. If they think that the corrupt will be punished by the law, it might just happen that their children or even grandchildren will be a lawyer or a judge for a 75 – 80 year old case of a scam that took place when they were in school!!!! Its high time people have their say in every small issue concerned with their welfare or progress. Its now upto the quiet people of our country to make our rulers realize that scams are not the identity of our country. Its because of them that the positive events taking place in our country are never highlighted. If you want to change the system, you need to be the system yourself.
And today, on this special day, spare a thought for our soldiers, who inspite of the atrocious weather conditions and in temperatures of – 30 degrees, are guarding our borders with a smile on their faces. They are our real heroes, the real daredevils. It is because of them that the R – day celebrations are on in full swing all over the country, I m writing this for you and you are busy in your daily chores. A grand salute to them and their undying spirit.
All I would like to say in the end is WAKE UP INDIA, so that next year, on this very day, with much more pride in our hearts we can say WE ARE PROUD TO BE INDIANS!!!!!!!!!
